What Type of Files Does Givr Accept?

We accept files from Adobe Illustrator or a similar program (.ai or .eps). We cannot accept files built in Photoshop.

Please ensure that files meet the criteria below:

  1. All fonts are outlined 

  2. All images are embedded not linked 

  3. All logos and images are in Vector format

  4. For digital print, please choose colors in CMYK. Pantone & RGB colors will be changed to CMYK and could result in a color shift.

  5. All images are 300DPI minimum (at printed size) 

  6. Artwork is on a separate layer than structure 

  7. Please include a minimum of 1/8" bleed. Keep text and important graphics 1/8" away from scores and cuts.


Understanding Your Dieline File

Get familiar with the different types of guide lines on your project 

  1. Cutlines: Black 

  2. Fold Lines: Red 

  3. Perforation lines: Blue 

Printable Areas: These are the areas your designs can overlay 

Non-printable Areas: These areas shouldn’t have art overlaid because they will be non-visible, are uneven, or are on a glue surface. 


Graphic Design Guidelines for Flexo Print

Please provide Pantone or Hex color targets on the proof in the specified areas.

    • Minimum 1 pt. Positive

    • Minimum 1.5 pt. Reversed Out  

  • Text/Font Size 

    • Minimum 6 pt. Positive

    • Minimum 8 pt. Reversed Out

  • SCS Barcodes

    • 100% Minimum

    • .008 Bar Width Reduction (BWR)

  • UPC codes

    • 160% Minimum

    • .008 BWR

  • QR Codes

    • .5” x .5” Minimum Size

    • Plus .5” bleed. 

We strongly recommend that all flexo printed RSC proofs comply with the FFG printing standards below:

  • All graphics should be pulled .5” away from the box folds

Images & Color Builds:

Graphic Design For Offset Print

Offset print is capable of printing very fine text and detail with near perfect clarity. This print option gives you the most design flexibility. There are no set minimums for font size, line size, or assets.
